Ms. Jacqueline Wong
- Harp Instructor
- 豎琴導師
Best known for her passion for classical music, Jacqueline became interested in different forms of performing arts from childhood. She was taking lessons in both piano and harp while still in high school and became an amateur musician who actively took part in an array of music events including orchestral performances, workshops and charity programs.
Believing that music is the universal language that speaks to the heart and has no boundaries, Jacqueline has set no limitation to her style of performing and strives to take on different music genres that offer both stimulation and pleasure to the eyes and ears. Inspired to be a harpist, she later became a music instructor and passionately taught students who shared her interest in music, aiming to inspire students to be curious while learning about music.
In 2014, she participated in a program jointly organized by Voice of the Harp and the SAHK Jockey Club New Page Inn, a transitional care and support centre for tetraplegic patients in Hong Kong, and gave lessons to a number of disabled students, who later formed an individual music group named “Music on Wheel”. She has performed with the group on several occasions, with the most recent performance as Music on Wheel in association with the Hong Kong Alliance for Rare Diseases.
Jacqueline has also been a frequent performer at different wedding banquets and other events such as the Terry Fox Marathon. She graduated with a bachelor degree in Journalism and a Master degree in English Language Arts.
